Its also helpful to be the friend of a fed, as was a wealthy
lady from the posh Upper East Side back in November 1992.   
She was being stalked by an unknown wacko with many         
harrassing phone calls and threats.  Her little girl        
received a condom in the mail!                              
                                                            
All this promted her to bypass NYC law enforcement and go   
right to the top, and I mean THE top: her personal friend   
William Sessions, Director of the FBI.  He was so upset at  
this lady's horrifying predicament he IMMEDIATELY had       
dozens, and I mean DOZENS (plural) of agents DROP what they 
were doing to find this wacko.  They finally got him but one
has to ask: "at what price?"                                
                                                            
These dozenS of agents were pulled off other cases to by-   
pass normal channels (and the NYPD) to help out the         
Director's personal friend. Shades of influence peddling    
aside, perhaps one of these agents would have uncovered     
information that would have prevented the WTC bombing just  
three months later.                                         
                                                            
Of course, in the all-in-the-family ethos of law enforcement
there was no investigation (and certainly no prosecution) of
this case by either the feds or the political Manhattan DA.
